Below you will find answers to the questions we get asked most about TRIMAP products and services.

  • Once the scope of a project is determined we can arrange inventory to support low to no pull-in minimums while maintaining volume pricing. Trimap supports low-medium volume projects with quantities ranging from as low as 5 per month up to 100’s+ per month.
  • Yes. Through our OEM solution, Trimap can take designs already finalized by your team and be your turnkey domestic manufacturing partner.
  • Absolutely, one of our core services is catering to integrators and CM’s to provide chassis solutions. Often Trimap is used to replace overseas chassis solutions, providing flexibility, dependability, and increased quality. Trimap can offer various levels of assembly and integration as needed, ranging from just the chassis to a turnkey box-build. 
  • There are a range of factors that affect cost, such as unit size, number of components, ruggedization, complexity, finishing requirements, etc. A simple chassis can be as low as $300.
  • When accounting for tariffs, shipping, large purchase minimums, supply chain unreliability, and production defects, Trimap solutions are often more cost effective than overseas solutions. 
  • Once a design is finalized, Trimap can often move to production in 6 weeks or less. Standard lead times in production is 3-4 weeks and can drop to 2 weeks through custom inventory arrangements. Through finished good inventories and safety stock arrangements, shipping times can drop down to next day. 
  • Trimap offers simple assembly to complex integration and any where in between. Through offering what we call “precision value” we can work with you to determine which level of assembly best suits your operations. This ensures that your team is receiving a product at the exact amount of pre-assembly that allows your team to add maximum value. Whether that is through your team integrating a pre-assemble chassis or Trimap providing a fully integrated system. 
  • Our integration support can be categorized in to 4 levels
    • Level 1- Baremetal chassis assembly
    • Level 2 – Cables, switches, Led’s, Fans, etc.
    • Level 3 – Powersupply, Motherboard, Backplane, Cards, etc
    • Level 4 – Turnkey solution: Software installation, system level burn-in/testing, post-sale services
  • No. Our goal is to be your long-term manufacturing partner, not charge outrageous NRE’s. There is a cost associated with bringing a product to fruition, but our NRE structure is flexible and affordable starting as low as $2,500. 
  • Yes, we can supply your entire product line. Trimap has the experience and scale to facilitate your entire product line and offer configuration management for each product.
  • Currently, Trimap has customer’s whose product line is greater than 30 products each with multiple configurations and different volumes. Through custom inventory arrangements and shipping options Trimap is able to simplify their supply chain and offer a single source for their product line.
